At Daevara, we originally built a system called Outrider to change how we designed, launched, and managed websites for our clients. Traditional website projects can be slow, expensive, and difficult to maintain. Even after launch, businesses are often left coordinating hosting, analytics, advertising tools, integrations, content updates, and a growing collection of third-party services.
Outrider was our answer to that problem.
Rather than approaching each website as a separate collection of pages and plugins, we built a structured platform that could create fast, carefully engineered websites while supporting the wider systems a modern business needs to grow. It gave us a way to reduce repetitive development work without sacrificing performance, flexibility, or quality.
The result was a highly advanced website-building system that could lower costs, shorten development timelines, and allow us to spend more time solving meaningful business problems.
A Shared Opportunity With SturdyBid
As Outrider developed, we began discussing the technology with our partners at SturdyBid.
SturdyBid was already building tools designed to help independent contractors present better options, improve their sales process, and compete more effectively. It quickly became clear that the website platform and the SturdyBid product ecosystem could be much more valuable when connected.
Our partners asked whether Outrider could be incorporated into the shared platform. We agreed.
Over the following months, we expanded the system, connected it to the broader SturdyBid vision, and transformed what had started as an internal Daevara tool into a complete product of its own.
That product is now SturdyWeb.
More Than a Contractor Website Platform
SturdyWeb was initially shaped by the needs of contractors and home-service companies. These businesses require more than an attractive website. They need fast pages, clear service information, dependable lead tracking, advertising support, review generation, local search visibility, and connections to the software they use to run their operations.
Those requirements pushed us to build a much stronger platform than a conventional website builder. But the underlying system was never limited to one industry.
SturdyWeb can now support businesses across a wide range of markets, including restaurants, cafés, salons, fitness professionals, professional services, medical practices, local retailers, and other service-based organizations.
One Foundation, Many Blueprints
Each industry can have its own carefully designed blueprint, tools, integrations, content structure, and operating features. The platform provides a strong shared foundation while still allowing each business to have a distinct identity and customer experience.
What Makes SturdyWeb Different
Most website products fall into one of two categories. Businesses can use a low-cost website builder that requires them to assemble and manage much of the system themselves. Alternatively, they can hire a custom agency and pay significantly more for development, maintenance, and ongoing marketing support.
SturdyWeb is designed to offer another path.
It combines the efficiency of a structured platform with the strategy, customization, and ongoing support of a consulting relationship. Because much of the technical foundation is already engineered, we can deliver sophisticated websites and connected business tools at pricing that would be difficult to achieve through a traditional custom-development model.
The platform is also designed to extend beyond the website itself. Depending on the needs of the business, SturdyWeb can support advertising, measurement, content production, review collection, customer-management systems, operational integrations, and custom tools.
We have not found another platform that brings together the same combination of capabilities, hands-on support, flexibility, performance, and pricing. That is what makes this partnership so exciting for both Daevara and SturdyBid.
What This Means for Daevara
Daevara remains deeply involved in the strategy and continued development of SturdyWeb.
Our role is not simply to produce websites. We work with businesses to understand where they are losing time, missing opportunities, or struggling with disconnected systems. SturdyWeb gives us a powerful foundation for solving those problems without rebuilding the same basic infrastructure for every engagement.
The partnership also allows both organizations to focus on what they do best:
- Daevara brings business strategy, technical development, marketing systems, integrations, and experience working directly with local businesses.
- SturdyBid brings deep insight into contractor sales, field-service operations, estimating, and the challenges independent operators face as larger companies and private-equity-backed competitors enter their markets.
Together, we are building a connected group of tools designed to help independent businesses operate more effectively and compete on a more level playing field.
The Next Chapter
Outrider began as an internal Daevara project. SturdyWeb is what it became when we combined that technology with a larger shared vision.
The platform is already much more capable than the system we originally set out to build, and its evolution is still beginning. As additional businesses join the platform, we will continue developing industry-specific tools, improving integrations, expanding its measurement capabilities, and finding new ways to remove unnecessary work from business owners' plates.
We are proud of what began at Daevara, excited about what we are building with SturdyBid, and even more excited about what SturdyWeb will make possible for the businesses we serve.
