Accessibility Statement
Daevara Consulting is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology.
1. Our Commitment
We believe a good website works for every visitor, regardless of ability or the tools they use. We build and maintain daevara.com with accessibility in mind, and we treat it as ongoing work rather than a one-time checkbox.
If any part of our site presents a barrier to you, we want to hear about it and fix it.
2. Conformance Target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
We consider our site to be substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Substantially conformant" means most of the site meets the standard, with some areas still in progress.
3. Measures We Take
To support accessibility across daevara.com, we:
- Write semantic HTML so page structure is clear to screen readers
- Provide a "Skip to main content" link for keyboard and screen-reader users
- Support keyboard navigation for menus, links, and forms
- Include descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images
- Maintain color contrast that meets WCAG AA for body text
- Label form fields and interactive controls
- Use responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and zoom levels
We test our pages with automated accessibility tools, including axe and Pa11y, and we make manual keyboard and screen-reader checks part of our review process.
4. Compatibility
daevara.com is designed to work with current versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, on both desktop and mobile devices.
It is intended to be compatible with common assistive technologies such as screen readers and browser zoom. Older browsers may not support every feature, and some experiences may vary.
5. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain. We are aware of the following areas and are working to improve them:
- Content delivered through third-party services, such as embedded analytics, may not fully match our accessibility standards
- Some older blog posts and downloadable documents may not yet meet the same level of accessibility as our main pages
- Automated testing tools sometimes flag our translucent navigation bar because they cannot calculate its layered background; the text meets contrast requirements when reviewed manually
If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please let us know so we can address it.
6. How We Assess Accessibility
We evaluate daevara.com through a combination of self-assessment and automated testing. We run tools such as axe-core and Pa11y against representative pages, review the results, and address issues as part of our regular maintenance.
7. Feedback and Contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of daevara.com. If you experience any difficulty using our site, or you need information in a different format, please contact us:
support@daevara.com
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days.
Changes to This Statement
We may update this Accessibility Statement as our site and standards evolve. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised update date. We encourage you to review this statement periodically.
